Please note - Each sign (custom or pre-set design) comes standard with a remote control which can be used to dim the light and or make it brighter, switch it on and off from and program the light to flash/glow in multiple patterns - this is great as it allows you to control your sign and making it fit for each and every situation - party, chill or day time...

What are LED neon signs made of?

Our LED neon signs are made from proprietary PVC molding technology, and are mounted on high quality acrylic as backing.

Do LED Neon signs consume a lot of Energy? 

Our LED neon signs produce relatively no heat, are energy-efficient, and are less expensive compared to traditional glass tube neon. LED neon signs look almost identical to traditional neon ones but are much more flexible which in turn help us get a lot of customisation into your designs. One other important advantage of LED neon signs is that its colours can be changed, and a variety of effects and patterns can be programmed into the product.

Can you use LED Neon signs outdoors?

Yes, we can produce waterproof versions for outdoor events and for outdoor permanent installation. Please specify that you’d like your sign to be made for the outdoors when you submit your custom order inquiry, or choose it directly (for Outdoors) on our Custom Text product page.

What's the typical lead time for custom orders?

All orders are made to order by hand in our international production facility with the upmost of care and attention to detail. 

Delivery from the time your order is placed is typically 2-3 weeks for design, production and shipping right to your door.

How do you power the neon signs?

All our signs connect directly into a standard power socket (with plug for each shipping country) and it comes with a 12V transformer. Not battery powered.

How long do LED neon signs last?

The lifetime of LED light lasts a minimum of 30,000 hours. That is equivalent to 10 years if you turn on a neon sign for 10 hours per day. This is 3x times longer lifespan than traditional gas neon signs.

Does it require any maintenance?

Not at all. LED is environmentally friendly and maintenance free.

What's the length of the power cord?

The cord from the neon sign is 1.8 meters (6ft) long encased with a clear coating, with an additional 1.2 meters (4ft) of black or white cord from the power adapter. There's another 1 meter (3ft) black or white cord from the adaptor to your plug. In total it's 13ft from the neon sign to your power plug.

How safe are LED neon signs?

Our LED neon signs are only 12V so run at a much safer voltage than traditional neon. Because of its low output voltage, no heat will be generated on the outer surface even after long hours of operation.

Can I install my neon sign myself?

Unlike Glass Neon signs, our LED signs do not require professional maintenance or installation. They are designed to be simple to install and come with a plug-and-play wiring solution.

The majority of LED neon signs we supply are for internal use, and come mounted on an acrylic panel (making them easily portable), complete with a normal mains plug which can be plugged into an accessible plug socket All our signs can be wall mounted through the pre drilled holes in the acrylic with the screws provided in the installation kit. We also provide a hanging kit upon the request for a hanging sign LED neon signs for permanent external use, and some large internal LED neon signs, will require specialist installation.

What does the warranty cover?

We offer a 12 month guarantee on materials and workmanship on all of our neon signs. However, this does not include any damage that may occur as a result of incorrect installation or physical damage during usage.

Can you use any font or design to create an LED Neon Sign?

Yes, however some fonts and designs work better than others like script and sans-serif fonts. We recommend equal width fonts due to the tube neon strips we are using.

Is there a minimum size that you need to work to?

We tend to work to a minimum letter height of around 10cm (4 inches), as we find that letters have better definition at this size. It is possible to make letters smaller than this, but larger letters tend to display better. Generally, this also means we offer a minimum sign size of 50cm, and usually work up to a maximum of 300cm - however, email our team at support@neonfreek.com if you have additional questions regarding size considerations.

Where Are Neon Freek Signs Made?

Neon Freek signs are designed in Australia, USA and UK. The location you order from and the requirements for your sign determine the manufacturing source.

What Makes Neon Freek Signs Safer Than The Rest?

Since all our signs are made from LED flex, there’s zero use of glass in our products. This prevents overheating, and ensures that the products are all energy efficient, and environment friendly. At the same time they are lighter, more durable and highly portable. Also, all our products come with UL certification.

How Are Neon Freek Signs Made?

Neon Freek signs are made by hand, and according to your chosen designs. We use LED flex on acrylic backing material such as PVC. There is no use of hazardous substances such as mercury, neon or glass.

Sizing

We always aim to make your design into an LED neon sign as accurate as possible. Due to the complexity of some designs, smaller sizes (50cm - 75cm) may not always be possible; where this is the case we’ll reach out to you and offer alternatives.

Big Signs

In certain instances larger signs need to be cut into two for shipment purposes, this is to avoid any damage during transport. This won't affect the overall appearance of your LED neon sign; when a sign needs to be cut in two we’ll contact you for confirmation, or to explore the possibility of producing the sign in a smaller size.

Shipping

All orders are made to order by hand in our international production facility with the care and attention to detail. Production time averages 10 working days after payment. During peak periods this timeframe may increase to 2-3 weeks. 

Shipping time is the time it takes in transit after the piece completes production and leaves our factory. You will receive a tracking number once your piece has left the factory. 

Shipping times guidelines are as follow:

Free Shipping (FEDEX Fully Tracked, 3-5 days) - 3-5 days delivery after hand made production of 2-3 weeks, fully tracked service

Express Shipping (FEDEX Fully Tracked, next working day) - next day delivery after hand made production of 2-3 weeks, fully tracked and signed service - £15

All our pieces are made by hand to order.

We only accept returns/refunds on faulty items, and can not accept returns due to change of mind unfortunately, as all pieces are one off made to order. All sales are final once placed on site. 

In the very unlikely case of your piece arriving broken or faulty, you have 7 days from the day of tracked delivery to let us know via email at support@neonfreek.com and we will deliver a replacement free of charge! 

Import Fees/Duties

Orders to some countries may be subject to import fees/duties and taxes when delivery takes place. This depends on which country you are ordering from and also how big/heavy the piece is.

This is standard procedure for any item bought online and is entirely out of our hands - many orders won't be subject to import fees, but for those that are, please be aware that these fees are the responsibility of the customer and are not covered by Neon Freek.
